Toned cyanotype, watercolor, and gouache on Strathmore hot press paper

This cyanotype started out blue! I bleached it with borax and toned it with madder root powder and coffee, before adding watercolor and gouache in traditional and neon colors. I was inspired by the groundbreaking work of Bauhaus weaver Gunta Stölzl and by the beauty of the reeds sent to me from the Chesapeake Bay.
