I was thrilled to have been the artist in residence for the Select Fair at Industry City from April through May, 2014. For the residency, I explored the notion that the things we can afford to leave behind - to abandon - tell a story about a community. Throughout my time there I created a site-specific installation comprised of found objects collected on daily walks through the changing neighborhoods around Sunset Park and recently scrutinized Industry City. I invited friends and colleagues to walk and explore with me, and wrote about our adventures on the Select Fair blog.
